March for Our Lives: 3/24, 9 am, Pershing Square
More info: On March 24, the kids and families of March For Our Lives will take to the streets of Washington DC to demand that their lives and safety become a priority and that we end gun violence and mass shootings in our schools today. Over 800 sister marches across the world are planned in support, including in Los Angeles.
March for Science: 4/14, 9 am, Pershing Square
More info: The March for Science champions robustly funded and publicly communicated science as a pillar of human freedom and prosperity. We unite as a diverse, nonpartisan group to call for science that upholds the common good, and for political leaders and policymakers to enact evidence-based policies in the public interest. So far, more than 175 satellite marches are registered worldwide.

Join fellow members of the Librarians' Guild (and friends) as we once again participate in the 2018 Women's March.
When: Saturday, January 20
Where: We will meet in front of the 5th street entrance of Central at 8:30am, departing at 9am to Pershing Square
Who: Guild members and friends! All are welcome.
We highly recommend public transportation and carpooling.
We will also be holding a pre-march preparation party on Friday, January 19 from 7:00-9:00pm at Council 36 Headquarters (514 Shatto Pl.). Even if you can't make the march itself, you can come to the pre-march party to make signs!
